While polymer clay is a flexible material, we advise against bending your clay earrings. Treat them as you would any other piece of jewelry, as improper handling can cause wear over time. It's also best not to sleep in your earrings, as this could increase the risk of the post breaking away from the clay.
To keep your earrings in top condition, store them in a cool, dry place when not in use. Keep them away from perfume, chemicals, and harsh cleaners, and avoid wearing them while showering or swimming. Also, ensure they are stored in a way that prevents them from getting scratched by harder materials.
If your earrings get dirty or stained with makeup, clean them gently with a soft cloth and mild soap or an unscented baby wipe. For tougher stains, a Q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol can be effective.
Brass metal may tarnish over time due to oxidation. Refresh brass pieces using a mixture of lemon juice and baking soda or “Brasso.” For golden stainless-steel findings, a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol can help with light cleaning.
